Just started my own business & I am up for any advice?

I just started as an independent consultant and I don’t want to have to bug my family about throwing parties or classes, who should I aim for I just moved so I don’t really have a lot of friends either. HELP!!!
Its a business that will not allow you to hang flyers or make commercials, its all on me. Its not mary kay or avon, its skin care products that actually work, I don’t want to get my family in the middle of my work, and I just moved to a new town and I really don’t know anybody, help!!!

Hi,

In response to your question . . .

You question is pretty general and would take me years to cover everything. Perhaps if made your question more specific I could. When starting a business, you need to understand marketing, budgeting, incorporating, business software, and it goes on and on and on.

So here is what I am going to ask you . . .

Do you have a web site or blog?

If you do or not, you should consider the following:

The Design Dashboard has a Point and Click system, make easy for beginners and intermediates to create their own web site, selling products and/or services. It extremely EaSy to navigate without having to learn the technical aspects to site building. Its a must-see product. Which enable you sell on any search engine such as, eBay, Yahoo, MSN, Google, etc.
The instructions will guide you every step of the way until your project is done. Go check it out.

Take Care and Good Luck!!!

PS – The same company also has the Marketing Dashboard Point and Click System. Also a must-see for your business.

    Perhaps you need to advertise.
You should also ask different places if you can leave your business cards on their counter.
Also when you go out to eat, leave a business card next to your tip.

Stop into Businesses in your area…

Hand them your Business Card and offer to give them a FREE analysis of their business.

"Begin" to show them how they could be more efficient, offer your services on a part time basis.

Make sure you attend the Chamber of Commerce and Better Business Bureau functions in your area!

Have your Business cards handy…make sure everyone you meet knows what you do!

    Hi SaraA

You can start by writing an article on the positive benefits f the skin care products that you have tried, the benefits you have received and those whom you have recommended received by using this product.

    (2) Offer a free skin analysis and then sell them a skin care product from your range that is low in cost about $20 and can make you a profit. That way you can learn valauble communication skills interacting with your customers which can help you build your business.
    (3) Start a class in a community college on skin care and beauty. This helps to toggle your cash flow for the moment and attracts the much needed exposure for your business.
    (4) Just a side note, I think Avon is a good business model just as in any business that delivers a valuable service.

"Its not mary kay or avon, its skin care products that actually work…" You must have missed the consumer reports that stated that in 2005, Mary Kay was the best-selling brand in the combined categories of facial skin care and color cosmetics, as well as the best-selling brand in the individual categories of facial skin care; lip color, which includes lipstick, lip gloss and lip liner; and eye makeup remover. Based on the most recent industry sales data according to Kline & Company, Inc.’s "Cosmetics & Toiletries USA 2005" study.

Don’t remark on other brands, it makes you look desperate and uninformed.
